My son hasn't stopped running since we got these shorts — the fabric is light enough that he doesn't overheat, and the elastic waistband lets him pull them up himself.

The elastic waistband is a lifesaver for quick changes between sandbox and sprinkler. These shorts held up beautifully through mud puddles and grass stains, still looking fresh at pickup time.

My daughter wore these all afternoon at the park and never once complained about the waist digging in, which says a lot. The light blue color is even prettier in person and seems to resist grass stains pretty well.
